As we still have some customers running on Microsoft Dynamics SL 7, we wanted to put a reminder out that Extended Support for Microsoft Dynamics SL 7 ends on October 10th, 2017.
What this means is, while the end of Mainstream Support means no design changes or feature requests as well as year-end or tax updates, the end of Extended Support means that there is no longer any paid support (per-incident, per hour or other) for this version of Microsoft Dynamics SL.
If you're currently on Microsoft Dynamics SL 7, we'd highly recommend start planning now to get upgraded to a newer version of Microsoft Dynamics SL, so that you're not finding yourself in a non-supported environment.
Thank you and Happy upgrading!!
Microsoft Dynamics SL 2015 CU2 release introduced the SL Project Power BI Dashboard.
Attend this session to learn how to connect the Project Power BI Dashboard to Dynamics SL and more importantly, how to use the new SL Project Power BI Dashboard.

As of December 19, 2016, there will not be any 2016 Year End Updates for Microsoft Dynamics SL published, as there were no changes made by the federal government to the 2016 tax year regulations that pertain to the year end forms or electronic files provided by Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Payroll Hot fix
Two similar bugs in SL 2015 CU1 may cause payroll benefits to be zeroed out when rolling over to the next year
a. Benefit set up on Plan Year and benefit year closes, last close date is blank which causes benefits to zero out after the next check run.
b. Last close date deleted when benefit year is closed and benefit is based on employee anniversary.
