The Dynamics User Group website (the “Site”) uses cookies to provide you a safer, customized, and efficient experience.

What are cookies?

What are we using the cookies for?

We have cookies which are "native" to the Site. These are called First Party Cookies and are used to make it easier to use the Site for your as a user, as we use the cookie to save information from visit to visit. We store information about your settings, as well as your latest login, so that you don't have to enter it again. Any filters etc. you set on the site, is also stored here.

We also have a number of third-party cookies. These cookies enable us to provide third party features or functionality through the Site (i.e. advertising, social media functions and analytics).

We are a small membership organization, advertising is important keep the site free and running. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to help us serve ads here on the Site. Google's use of cookies enables it to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

The Google Analytics cookie allows us to track, in aggregate, but in no personally identifiable way and without using personal data, traffic patterns on the site so we can optimize our web development and content efforts to better meet your needs.

Finally we uses a tool AddThis and their cookies, which allows our users to share content from the Site to social media.

How can you say no cookies from DUG?

You can not. If you don't like them and don't know another way around using them, then please don't use our website.

What information do we collect from you?

We do not collect any information from you before you sign-up to become a user group member. Except if you have send us mails, or contacted us in a different way. Then we may save your email and whatever contact information you provided in that email.

When registering an account to become a Member on the Site, as appropriate, you are asked to select a sign-in name and enter an e-mail address, your location and company type (user, partner etc.). And that you agree to our terms of use.

Additionally after becoming a member, you may be optionally to enter a your company name, job title, user type, web address, blog, language, social media accounts and bio etc. This data helps your and other members to connect and network on the Site. You can edit and remove anything you enter here.

We register your engagements on the Site. When you post a question, make a reply, if you like a post, download a file or sends a message, then this is stored in our database.

You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

Your profile data is only fully visible to our members. Only name and some basic information are public. You may change the visibility in your account settings, so that it's only visible to our members. But still always consider what you share.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience
    (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
  • To improve our website
    (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
  • To process transactions

  • To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature

    The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your membership, in addition to receiving occasional user group news, updates, related information, etc.
  • To send subscription updates and notifications
    You may opt out of all subscriptions and notifications.

Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. Or by visiting your account settings.

How long do we store your data?

We do not delete your account, unless you decide to leave the community. If you leave (can be done from your account settings), then your profile data are deleted together with any likes, bookmarks, subscriptions and votes. If you have made any posts to the forums, blogs or resources etc., then these are moved to an anonymous/former member account.  

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you access your personal information.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we and our users may include or offer third party products or services on our website. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of Site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site may make any changes to all of their information at anytime by logging into the account profile and select "Edit Profile". E-mail address is changed in the account settings

Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
