Navision version 2 released in 1988 was a still only a Danish product, and branded as IBM-Navigator.
It came with the ability to create new reports, and make some changes to the database it self. Some smart resellers soon started to create "add-ons", which they could resell to other customers.
The biggest change, was the enhanced client/server functionality. Now you could truly call it full client/server multi-user accounting package. It introduced the basis of the version principle. It also had a form of SIFT (Sum Index Fields Technology) Flow Field , that allowed more analytical reporting tan before.
Version 2.12 exists and is still being used by some companies today (2016).
