Using NAV 5.0 you can export directly to Excel.
Using a version below you must use must use a dataport / report. If information you are trying to export doesn’t take a million records you can copy and paste to excel from a list form.
Rashed:in 5.0 you cannot export reports to excel. only forms. in 5.1 you can export reports.
yes forget it. I was explaiinig about tables .......
You can save a report has a HTML and open it in Navision. It won't be looking perfect, but you can open data.
I believe there are also a couple of add-on tools that perform this function in earlier versions, other than that you need to manually write the report to achieve this pre 5.1 as the guys say.
Direct exporting to excel is available for FORMS in Navision 5.0, but if you want to export the report to excel, you need to do the coding, which generally uses Table 370 (excel buffer), like "Analysis by Dimension" has the option to export to excel........
Hope this helps....
Please follow-up this select all-->Copy--> then past to new excel sheet
Please install a Cute PDF Printer (http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp) and print the document as PDF
I will give this a try. Saving as an HTML is awful.... Comes in all white and the columns are all goofy....
Thanks for the link Manoj.
http://www.print2excel.com/ might be worth looking at.....
Have you actually tried this tool?
It's my experience with similar tools that the result is just as good (or worse) than exporting classic NAV reports to HTML!
Try Jet Reports maybe... you'll have the ability to create your own reports quite easily.
