Dear all,I have tried installing Nav 2009 R2 classic option to have multiple clients to connect to a central database in a server machine, but could not get it work. When i install the server and then install the client and tried to connect the client to the server, It gives "TCP/IP error ECONNREFUSED". I have ping the server from the client machine and get replies. I have turned off the firewalls on the server and still get the same error. Is there anything i need to configure during or after installing the server? Do i have to do some configurations to the client as well? Please can someone help me with the steps i need to take to get this working correctly? Thanks.
please try to change the service user to administrator user .
What do you mean by "Change service user to administrator User"? i am always logged in as administration when doing the above installation?
Logged in as administrator, is not the same as running the service as.
But which database server is it? The native Navision database or SQL server? NAV 2009 was the last with the native database and this issue was quite common in the days.
Have you tried searching for "TCP/IP error ECONNREFUSED" here on DUG, I'm sure the answer is there?
Thanks all. I have reolved it. It was classic with sql server.
