Error in NAV 2009 attaching to a database

Hi can someone help pls, i'm getting the beneath error.  I only get this error when trying to run the NAV 2009.

Error Report
SQL Server option
Cronus Sample Database for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009
Fatal error during installation.

Failed to connect to SQL database.  (-2147467259   Demo Database NAV (6-0)      )

    This error you usually get because there already is a database with that name.

    It can also be that you do not have enough rights on SQL.

    Is SQL already installed on the machine? Maybe you can install in smaler steps and see where it fails.
