Creating a macro for backup

Several years back we had a consultant help us with making a macro that logged in to navi 356a and made a backup of the database. This was put in the AT scheduler on our NT4.0. But this has crashed and the company we used have no consultats that know Navi356.

We now run it on a W2k3.

Any help apriciated
  • If you look at the menu called "Generelt" there is an item called "Optag Makro".

Give the macro a descriptive name and then carry out your business (recording is finished with CTRL+Z).
Do the recording twice to make sure that all warnings are taken proper care of!

Then to use the macro run Navision in a dos-prompt with parameter "?" to see how to actually instantiate the macro from command-line.

Have fun... (it actually still works under Windows 2003)
