Just wanted to know if somebody has CSCP certification to his / her name in this forum.
Yes and No
APICS had a UK equivalent called BPICS, this was rebranded as the IOM in 2000 (??), I hold the highest IOM qualification diploma outside of degree level study: http://www.accreditedqualifications.org.uk/awarding-body/qualifications/Institute+of+Operations+Management/10042301/IOM+Level+5+Diploma+in+Operations+Management+(Current+NQF+Level)+qualification.seo.aspx
The "relationship" of the IOM and APICS is explained here:
So why do you ask?
I was preparing for the same and might be taking exam in coming summer. So was wondering if somebody had some good material on Incoterms, as I have not bought official material so far.
So BPICS also has eligibility criteria like APICS as my eligibility reply from them took some good 3 months.
Clearing BPICS makes u part of CILT ?
IOM was a rebranded BPICS that failed badly, everyone knew APICS, understood therefore what BPICS was but hardly anyone is aware IOM is BPICS. In 2007 the membership and funding was low and were absorbed by CILT. I was a member until 2007 when we were really forgotten in the CILT merge, I was getting little from being a member apart from some letters after my name so dropped the subscription. This will also explain why it took them so long to get back to you.
I have some books and I am sure Incoterms will be in there, but it was much more manufacturing focused rather than sales.
