Dynamics NAV Source Control with iFacto ReVision
waldo
You might remember a few of my previous blogposts about this. We (Bart and me) have been working quite hard on a tool we call "iFacto ReVision". In fact, not only on the tool, but also on all the other stuff behind the tool (marketing, website, ...) .. you don't wanna know... :-/ What is it? The tool is a simple (which I like to emphasize) addition on the NAV Client, which monitors the user's actions. With "simple", I mean, easy to install, easy to deploy, easy to use: You only have to set it up once You only have to install it once for every person that works with objects You…

Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 is not a "normal" release ... beware!
waldo
I would like to point out quite an important thing to be aware of. Namely that NAV 2009 R2 is mainly intended to be some kind of hotfix on SP1, rather then being a new release. What I mean with that is that (and this has been confirmed by Microsoft) R2 is not "a complete new version". How do I know? When we were upgrading our database(s) to R2, we noticed that the VAT2010 (remember that one?) was not part of the BE version of NAV 2009 R2. In my opinion, that's rather odd. So that's when I contacted Microsoft. They were actually surprised with my question .. . I was surprised that they were…

NAV 2009 R2 System Indicator
waldo
As you might have noticed .. in NAV 2009 it was quite difficult to clearly show in which database you were working in.. . I had written a small solution for that in the classic which I blogged about here . Mark had foreseen a solution in the RTC here and we developed an Add-In which looked quite the same as we had in the classic: Configurable colors, more information ... . Easy to create, and default part of our product. BUT.. Microsoft has come up with quite a neat solution as well.. . The System Indicator is part of the product from the new NAV 2009 R2 release. How does it work? …

NAV 2009 Belgium - SEPA, Isabel and RTC Reports!
waldo
In Belgium, we've had some good news regarding GDL. After the new crappy approach of Microsoft (sorry, but it is..), being that we (as Belgium, and a lot of other affected countries) are a "group 2" country, we finally have some good news. Apparently there are people at Microsoft that do care enough about Belgium (thanks, guys!) .. and have spent time in getting "some" should-be-in-NAV's in the product.. . Here is an update: Isabel 6 & SEPA Credit Transfer With this release, Microsoft Dynamics NAV Belgium supports the ISABEL 6 software and the use of SEPA credit transfers (SEPA vendor payments…
