Business Central 2019 Spring and Business Central 2018 Fall On Premises versions

I wanted to warn you a bit of different BC versions. Business Central On Premises (Fall 2018) and its Cumulative Updates are not the same as Business Central On Premises 2019 Spring version.

If you check carefully the Cumulative Update objects, you will find that Spring version tags include "14.0" and all Cumulative updates are tagged with "13.x".

If you check the installation folder, BC 2019 Spring version uses folder "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central\140\Service" and BC On Premises (and Cumulative updates) uses folder "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central\130\Service"

So, be careful when you download Cumulative Updates, and do not install objects from these in your Business Central Spring installation - and vice versa of course! It seems that it is fully posisble to run BC14 client against BC13 databse though -but it requires a conversion, and I have not yet fully tested if they really are compatible.

I am still expecting to see BC14 cumulative updates, when Microsoft will start releasing them. Meanwhile, keep these separated!
