Azure-hosted solution of some sort for NAV in Q1 2013

Ok, this is the last I'm going to blog about Dynamics NAV 2013 and Azure.

Just got a message from MSDynamicsWorld. According to their information an "Azure-hosted solution of some sort for NAV 2013" will be shipped in Q1 of next year.

Im curious about the "of some sort" part...

  • Ryan, I couldn't agree more.

    The key thing is what you say: It took a while to get it running. It does not make sense to remove simplicity for a single customer installation. This complexity belongs to a true Multi-tenacy configuration.

    We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

    All I know is MS reads my blog...

  • Following Directions in Rome earlier in the year I had NAV2013 beta running in Azure - as a service - not a virtual machine.  It took a while to get running but I was proud to have made it work.

    What happened?  Are we saying that this isn't now possible with the release?
