Excited to see this grow and become a repository for everybody to learn and develop their testing skills.  We must start looking at testing as Quality Assurance and not a drain on resources;  NOT using automated testing is a constant drain on resources that…

This week I had a little extra time during my development course @Readynez in Sweden.

Therefore, I decided to make an overview of the keyboard shortcuts in Visual Studio code when developing extensions for Dynamics 365 Business Central.

    And as always…

    Great post!
You can unpack a downloaded symbolfile likewise - but no source there, but an interesting json nevertheless ;-)

ps, seems you need to work a bit on your filenameconvention ;-)

    Hi Luc,

Thank you for this one. It doesn't have to be 7-zip. The same can be done by changing the .app to .rar and use WinRar, my all-time favorite zipper.

Right before Christmas I saw a blogpost by Jeremy Vyska which got my attention. It highlighted some changes in the December version of the Business Central on-premise licensing guide

In the October version a new license included a free CAL for an External…

    Thanks Luc,

Well I am a little ambivalent with this. The more code, the more code to maintain (both test and main), the higher the cost. While at the fact that we have tests (assuming a good covering test suite), then that will lower the risk, by being…

One of the common recommendations from both Microsoft and all the experts in our community is to create smaller modular extensions designed with either a single purpose or with a single functional area. Within software development this is often called…

I have stumbled over this test some time ago as well, for the very same reason like yours. This test is really useful.

It would also be nice if we had a property whether the FastTab is open or closed by default, when you open the page for the first time...
Quite a few users / consultants and even developers asked us if this is possible since the first versions of RTC.

Thnaks Luc, works well. One addition, if you want to get VS Studio code working on an existing upgraded database you need to follow step 19 in the Dataupgrade: docs.microsoft.com/.../upgrading-the-data
