The Dynamics NAV consultant is responsible for the company’s ERP business application (NAV) within the European region. Reporting into the European IT Manager, the main focus of this role is the ERP platform, related systems and integration between systems in general. The NAV Consultant is a part of the European IT Development team and will be responsible for projects run on responsible platforms but not limited to these. The consultant will also be responsible for data integrity on the NAV business platform.
This role requires knowledge on a variety of business applications and business processes around these platforms. Knowledge on development in C#, .NET and related is required but not on an expert level. The role requires the person work collaboratively with key stakeholders within the business where you will be the connection between customers (internal) and development resources. There will be a close relationship with the internal Navision Analyst and Developer, but also to external development resources that are used in projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are valid and can be implemented in a system design that ensures data integrity.
The Systems Architect needs to have strong project management capabilities and will need to be a team player who has a hands-on approach, combined with insight to be able to contribute at operational levels.

Participating actively in the daily operations of Navision ERP system
Provide support, help and training to users
Support users through a helpdesk function
Maintain and update documentation of procedures and configurations
Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
Investigate system component suitability for specified purposes and make recommendations regarding component use
Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and suggest changes to meet organizational requirements
Defining functional needs, requirements and interaction with other departments to achieve overall company goals.
Define and analyse objectives, scope, issues, or organizational impact of information systems
Proposing solutions to meet specific business needs.
Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture
Writing the technical specifications to meet those needs.
Implementing agreed upon tasks and projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components.
Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, and task and workflow analysis.
Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Create business requirement documentation, project plans, and share status updates with managers (stakeholders)
Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes
Manage the change process and ensure proper management of database change control and documentation.
Liaise on projects and ideas with headquarters (APAC) on key projects to ensure Europe align with the corporate objectives.
Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.
Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software
Provide support, help and training to end users.
Communicate to all stakeholders to ensure progress is monitored and reported adequately.
Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Necessary Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
Degree level education IT related discipline is desirable
Understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Proper technical skill to support software environment
