How do I disable an Active Mail Merge in Dynamics CRM 2011 ?

 

We are running Dynamics CRM 2011 (On-site) with CRM for Outlook..

One of our users initiated a Mail merge (using Send Direct E-mail function) for 2000 customers, accidently specifying that an "Unsubscribe" system message be sent to all of them.

Can't find a System Job related to it, and couldn't stop it via Outlook. Pulled the Network card to capture them in Outbox. Nothing worked so far.

It is still running. How can I stop the Mail Merge ?

Help would be much appreciated.

    The only way to stop the e-mail is either stop it at the Exchange Server or other SMTP service.  You can also stop the Async service undestanding that other proceses may be affected, do a quick advanced find on all the e-mails.  Look for any in Pending Send status and cancel or delete, any that you find.  Remeber to restart the async service.
