I created a batch job in Dynamics AX and set its status to 'waiting'. But it is always in waiting state, never changed into 'executing' state. what could be the reason here.
The batch job has 4 AIF services as its tasks. And all these tasks are in 'waiting' state.
Did you attached the Batch Server to your batch group?(Administration -> setup -> Batch Groups)
Does it is showing the scheduled start date and time?
I did not create a batch group for this batch job. Should I create one and attach the server?
Although the batch job is showing the scheduled start date and time. which is of 3 days ago.
Yes. you need to create a batch group and need to attach a batch server.
Add the batch group to your batch tasks.
now i created a new batch group and associated all the tasks in my
batch group to this newly created batch group and then started the batch
job again. and it went into executing state. thanks for the pointer Kranthi.
now the error which is popping up is "The file system adapter is unable to read the file C:\FTPRoot\input\aFile.xml. Error: Access to the path 'C:\FTPRoot\input\aFile.xml' is denied." which user should I give permissions to.
the user who created the batch job.
both are same
You're a life saver... I was working on this trouble about last 3-4 days...
