Hi
I have setup a route with 1 operation. On the operation i have 3 resources, but when i estimate my Production cost, i only see the cost for the 1 resource.
I have grouped my 3 resources under a resource group
Resources listed
resource 00002 and 000003 have the Cost categories below
Labour Cost have the below labour cost
Resource Prod have the cost categories below
Manufacturing cost has the below cost
When i do my Estimate on my production order i get the below. Only my PROD resource cost is included
Please guide me in the direction where i must go and investigate, is my thinking correct? or is there another way of achieving what i want to do.
Thanks
Having multiple resources in a resource group means you can use any of the resource to perform the operation. it has impact on capacity and resource availability, not in cost. You're still using one of the 3 resources
Use parameter No of resources to define multiple resources running together in the same time
Are you referring to this?
Labor cost will be driven by the Cost group on the Cost category. Check the setup tab on your route operation for the cost category. The cost categories on your resources are defaults which can be added to the route operation when the resource requirement is specified.
Hi, if i put the Cost categories on the setup tab, it ignore the cost categories on the resources
I have 3 resources linked to my Production group
each of them have cost categories setup
Cost calculation then only looks at the Cost category on the Setup tab
I am confused :-)
Could you tell me what the cost is that it is currently returning and how this relates to the setup (assuming it is not 0)
Could you reply to Jakes request or confirm the estimation settings by type?
In summary you have 3 resouces for an operation, you have time against the operation, costs activated against the category in the related costing version and you want all 3 resources costed in the completion of the job?
