Moving columns around

A couple of quick questions about AX7, could anyone tell me how to move columns around (perhaps in the sales order lines area) and also how we add BI tiles to a workspace?  I was hoping this might be possible through the application without code?

  • Let's make two threads, each focusing on a single topic, with appropriate tags and titles. It will make easier to follow which topic we're discussion in which moment, which question has been answered and which still need some explanation, and so on.

I suggest to keep this thread about the first query (I'll change the title accordingly); you can create another thread for Power BI.

Can you please explain what you mean by "moving columns around"? Maybe an example would help.

Hi Martin, In AX2012 it was easy to select a column in a grid, perhaps the sales order lines area, and to drag the unit price and quantity to be adjacent. I'd like to do the same in AX7, just to arrange the sales order line grid fields in a specific order. Many thanks, Jon.

In the action pane, click Options > Personalize this form. Click on the second icon and then drag & drop grid columns as needed.

Thanks Martin. I tried that but for some reason the column always jumps back to the original position.

Are you still talking about the same example, moving Unit price in sales orders form? It works for me. if it's a different scenario, please tell us which one.
