I have a query. I am creating an extension of standard table & form. There I am adding a new enum of NoYes type. In the method initValue of the table I am setting the enum value to be Yes. However I see for the records which are already present in the system ie demo data for USMF the enum value is set to No. I want this to not be the case, and have the value of the enum defaulted to Yes everywhere. How can I achieve this? Also I see that the enum field is a drop down. I want it to be a slider, how do I achieve this?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance :)
initValue() applies when you're creating new records. What you must do with existing records is updating them - update_recordset command is usually the right way to do it.When you say that "the enum field is a drop down", how did you create the form control?
Hi, Thanks for your reply.
I have made some changes, now I am creating an extended enum of type NoYes. This I am using in my table, and then form. However now I am getting a checkbox instead of a slider. How can I get a slider?
I'm sorry, but I can't help you if you don't give me enough information.
Maybe you're talking about a grid and getting a checkbox is the correct behavior. Then you should adjust your expectations.
If my guess is wrong, please tell me what you did, as I asked you already in my previous reply.
Hi, I am creating a group inside a grid in my form. Attaching the screenshot. Is there any way by which I can get a slider instead?
No, you can't use sliders inside grids.
