super(); how does it performs its role in methods of ax

What would be the difference code written before  super() and ofter super () ,in 1)form and 2)Table level methods  " If you know the answer  please reply,  Thank you ".

  • Hi, Kantha

Super() means calling a method with the same name in parent class

Writing code before super() means, doing something before "execution"

writing code after super() means doing something after "execution"

lest take example of \\Data Dictionary\Tables\CustTable\Methods\insert
    now here in this method,

writing code before super() means doing ANYTHING before insertion of record,
Opposite to that writing code after super() means doing ANYTHING after record is inserted in CustTable.

Hi Kantha reddy L, welcome to DUG!

I moved your question to the Developer forum, because it's clearly about programming. The Technical forum is more about installation and such things.

I also changed the type of your question from Discussion post to Question and answer post. Now you can mark ThomasAlvy's reply as the verified answer (by clicking This helped me below his reply).

You should read How to ask a question in the forums?; it will hopefully answer your question and it'll help you to use these forums in the right way.

    thank you martin.
