colour Shapes in a Report

Back again,

I feel so stupid now !, I'have inserted a few shapes in a report, the background colour is blue, the back transparent property is set to "No", but when I print the report, either screen or paper, the shapes appears just white (on Design view they are correctly blue).

 Where's the mistake?

  • In idea that you can have coloured shapes on reports in NAV... Sorry, but no. Colors on shapes are only for forms & labels... for coloured shapes you have to either import bmp and put it on reports or export whole report to excel (where you can do, practically everything).

    Hi,

thanks for posting my topic, someone posted something like you last week but you're wrong, labels and shapes can have colours in Design mode, trust me. If you can't believe it (jajaja) set a post with your email, I will send you a "Print Screen" picture ;-)

  • In reply to Carlos Cosme:

On reports you cannot have colors whatsoever. I do not talk about about design mode or similar.

In design mode you may have colours but if you execute it, black/white will appear.

    Ok,

we agree then. I think it's incredible that a Microsoft application of this century doesn't allow to print reports with colours !!

LOL, I keep trying to stress this point "IT'S NOT A MICROSOFT APP" Microsoft did not write the application; Navision A/S did. Microsoft purchased it and are now working on changing it, but their main goal has been the Three-tier and Project Green. So don't expect it to be Microsoft Standard! ;-)

    Give them some time.
