Hi Adam, we have WH A & B - where B is ticked manual for Master planning. I would like to know where about we can set the planning to run based off the Warehouse level - right now I believe AX is looking at Site-WH. Just to double check. Also, is it possible to exclude any other inventory dimensions say location or aisle assuming that the WH (that the location/asile associated to) is included for planning but exclude the lower level inventory dimension siblings ?

Do you want to hide/disable for all? where do you intend to see this disabled? which form?

If you have Management Reporter, then I would consider for getting dimension based report - its little better, AX client tend to take time with dimensions. I can't see the output you are referring to.

Hi, we are looking at product Configurator to help us custom configure and build the end product for the customer. We have today number of production specific BoM, but don't have an option where we can take the base model and customize to suit the customer order on the go (as is available through production configurator). few questions - from what we understand, AX allow us to create a base product model say "Benz C 220" with three required items to be selected - 1) Whees, 2) Engine

In the master plan settings, I tick the "use future date as requirement date" for both PO and Production orders, none for action messages (not ticked for use postponed date). in item Coverage settings, I ticked advance, postpone, increase, decrease etc., (though I didn't specify advance margin). Say lead time for one of the component is 30 days (in the BoM). Now when I create an SO with requirement date by 20 days, AX created a Planned PO at future date i.e 30 days and delays the order

actually, there is no conflict - action messages provide the suitable actions to advance the PO while future message indicate the delay if no action is taken.

I checked that the physical inventory does reduce while wip proportionately increases. thanks.

I wonder if there is a clean way to isolate total components cost vs finished items from inventory for a given period when using costing other than standard AX 2012 CU2. we have production orders in stages - some started, others ended as well as some reported as finished. Matl auto consumed at Start. Inventory reports doesn't break this down as easily as they only show total physical, financial values - For raw materials total, we try to arrive at this value by looking at the inventory transactions

Quick question adam - when production starts, ledger a/c for Production Pick is CR with material consumption and WIP ledger account track the inventory added to WIP. Now, does the physical inventory is deducted at this stage? say, before the start my total physical+financial inventory amount is $2000. I start the production order that consume raw material at $500 (auto consumption). At this stage, Pick ledger is $500 CR, WIP ledger is $500Dr. Ax showing WIP inventory as $500. What about the physical

Appreciate your help. thanks adam.
