Problem getting NAS to work on VISTA -> The combination of user ID and password entered is invalid

I've installed a NAS on my laptop and each time the NAS services try to connect to the Navision server I'm getting this error message in the event viewer :

The combination of user ID and password entered is invalid

Here's the detail of my setup :

     Version of Dynamics NAV (Client/Server) = V5

     Version of NAS = V5

     Operating Sytem = Vista

Database type = NATIVE DB (I'm not using SQL)

Everything is setup locally (I connect to the server via localhost 127.0.0.1) I've no problem with the Navision client server connexion, it's just that the NAS authentification which seems to cause me a problem

BTW : the NAS service is setup to use the local user of my machine which is Administrator

Does anybody has got a clue what could be wrong ? I've installed NAS in the past and I never encoutered this problem, does anybody has got a clue of what could be wrong ?

This local user is also setup as a Windows-logon in NAV?

Yes, the local user is also setup as a Windows login in NAV : MYCOMPUTER\MYNAME

However MYNAME do not have a password set, but I don't this that's a problem ....

Have you tried giving it a password? I was playing with a completely non Nav related issue and non Nav Service last night at home, and could not get the Logon As to work for that service till I specified a password for the Username I was using. T

Tony, Thanks for the suggestion, you were spot on Smile Once I've set a password, stopped and restarted the NAS Service, I got another silly error message

"You do not have permission to the session table", what I did is that I deleted the Windows login in NAV and recreated it

After that my local Job Queue seems to work.
