Hi Vinay, If you are upgrading from DAX 4.0 SP1 or DAX 4.0 SP2, then there is a known field ID issue with four tables. For more info, please refer to DAX 2009 upgrade guide ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloadS/details.aspx?FamilyID=d9dae144-55b4-432d-b11e-f65ddb2d1b9c&displaylang=en ) Regards,

  • Re: Upgradation

Hi Subrata, I would always take the new version. Only if the version had been released with a few months, and it had been a major upgrade, then I would consider taking the previous version. So to your question, then I would NEVER upgrade anyone to a version 4.0 as this version is almost at it's end...

  • Concurrent installations of Axapta client (with and without KR2)

Hi, We are currently in the process of migrating from SQLServer 2000 to SQLServer 2005. This means that we need to install Axapta KR2. For the transition period we need to maintain two AOSs, one with SQLServer 2000 (no KR2) and the other has SQLServer 2005 (with KR2). If I want to be able to access both...

  • Re: Upgrading with EDI/E-Ship

Hi Dhan, It's not much different from upgrading any other Navision solution. The best place to get information about the Lanham EDI Solution is to contact Lanham in Atlanta. But you only say that the database is "having EDI add-on" - but are you sure that it's Lanham's EDI solution...

  • Re: Upgrade toolkit Error 3.7IN to 2009

Hi Satheesh, Microsoft will design Upgrade Toolkit codeunits keeping this in mind that the customer going for Upgrade would've first upgraded to the latest available HOTFIX or SERVICE PACK of the version they're using. Then, this database should be upgraded to the version they intend to Upgrade...

  • Re: Upgrade Doubt

Hi Pradeep, As everybody tries to tell you then Upgrading Navision is not something you just do! It requires that you know exactly what you are doing, and that you TEST, TEST and TEST your results. It takes years to be really good at doing it (or maybe just one year where you're doing nothing but...
