Yogesh, As said earlier also, please download mergetool from www.mergetool.com, there you will get the relevant help document and a video explaining how to use the merge tool. The mergetool from this site is a very good tool for upgrade project. I don;t know why you are hesitant about using merge tool...

Hi i dont have any idea about merge tool..but i heared we can use merge tool for upgrade. I am using beyond compare for upgrade... But please be aware that u should not use this tools for forms and reports.. It will lead to lot of trouble after upgradation... so do it manually...

You are right - its impossible with Enduser license. AND, if they even buy Developer`s license (which is expensive enough - 4 additional granules not included even in BRL-AM sum up to EUR ~30K ) I can hardly believe their in-house team will have enough knowledge to do the job. Hi Yogesh do u want to do object upgrade or data upgrade? for object upgrade u can directly upgrade from 4 to 5. first compare customer databse with standard 4.00 database. And then compare and merge customer DB with standard nav 5.00 DB. we use beyond compare tool for merge.

I dont think there is an upgrade toolkit. from 5 to 5sp1. Its only the objects that have changed. You can either open it using a 5sp1 client or just restore the back up using 5sp1 client. Then import the merged objects. That is a really small database.
