Does anybody know when NAV 2009 R2 will support SQL Server 2012? I believe support for NAV 2013 is slated for Q4 2012.

Thanks,
Todd

Just because it runs when you try doesn't mean it's supported though, I would certainly not accept that as proof that I can run it in a production environment. I have not seen an official statement from Microsoft.

I asked Microsoft recently.  There is no official statement.  They said Development hopes to have it fully supported in NAV 2013.  They gave no indication of supporting it with prior versions.  But that could change.

In general, the NAV team wants to have all active versions of NAV supported on all active versions of SQL Server. At any time you can be pretty sure that as long as the particular version of NAV is still active in the product lifecycle, that it is compatible with a version of SQL Server that is also active in the product lifecycle.

With new versions though, you always have to wait until they make an official statement (forum members saying that it runs for them are not official statements Smile, even when they have done extensive testing). Until the NAV team comes out with an official statement that any particular version of NAV is supported on SQL Server 2012, you can assume that it is NOT supported.

Hi all.

Anybody knows if it's officially supported now (4th Oct 2012)?

I'm asking here because can't find any info from NAV team, but may have missed something.

Yes it is now supported for NAV 2009 (SP1 and R2).  There was an announcement on PartnerSource around the end of August.  There are a few exceptions.  So read the notice,
