I'm trying to use the technique posted by Ahmed Amini (May 14, 2007) for generating PDF files using PDFcreator.  When I attempt to import the text file with the form, I get a message telling me that 'Automation' isn't a valid DataType.  And, sure enough, when I checked the list of DataTypes on an existing form, it wasn't there.  Is this a licensing issue or is there something else that's missing?

Yes that is a license issue. I don't exactly remember which granule it is, but I'm sure you'll find it when you search this forum or mibuso for 'Automation' AND 'License'

I've posted also an example using bullzip with fob that you can try. http://mibuso.com/blogs/ara3n/2008/08/01/save-nav-reports-to-pdf/

Thanks for the quick confirmation of my suspicions.

Yes, thank you, I found that posting as well.  Since you've used both, can you tell me if you have a preference?

No preference. I used pdfcreator first, and some people had issues so I wrote a bullzip. Bullzip supports vista and 64 bit, but if you use more than 10 users, voluntary purchase the non-free version, and you get support. PDFCreator is opensource, but is slow at releasing updates. I would say bullzip would be better choice if you are going to use it on NAS.
