    Inventory posting groups options

    Hello ,

          

    In the Inventory posting groups window u have field  product type. It has two options  . Item and Product .

          

    What is the use of Product ?

        

    When u assign the Product  for the Inevntory posting group.

         

    Please let me know the  difference .

    As standard there are two fields in the inventory posting group - code and description.

    You either have a localisation or a modification, if you look at the table what is the field number of the field?

    I am presuming you are on 4 or before.
