Hello.

We are trying to use Transfer Orders for consignment goods or for sample purposes (going to sales reps).  My theory is our headquarter is one location and 1 rep for ex. Mr. Smith is another location.  When I'm ready to transfer, I click on ship and then post.  Then when the items come back let us say Mr. Smith quits, then I go back to the posted transfer order and release it then post as received.  I hope I am making a little bit of sense.  Am I correct?  What is a best way to do this?  I am much familair with MEMO then when returned CREDIT MEMO.  Please help ASAP.

Thank you very much!

The transfer order works one way. If you have a main warehouse called MAIN, and a salesperson called SMITH, the transfer order will indicate a movement of stock from one location to the other. When you process the SHIP step it removed stock form MAIN and puts it "intransit" - think of this as being on the lorry taking it out of the warehouse. Once you know it has arrived with the salesperson you process the RECEIVE step. The stock is now at SMITH. To move stock back you simply raise another transfer order, this time from SMITH to MAIN.

Big Smile Thank's a lot.  Their first plan or course of action is correct then. They create or raise a new one as the stock comes back.  I just thought there was a short cut so items could tally apple to apple.

One more thing, I am trying to test or add a person in CONTACTS when I go to header NO. and press F3 it's giving me this warning box stating:

You must specify contact nos. in Relationship Management Setup Primary Key ='.

Where can I find this Relationship Management Setup Primary Key?  And what do I put there?

I am sorry if I am like a cat whom you gave milk to...I do need cookies and more.

 indebted to your kindness,

Dior

Go to Administration - Application Setup - Sales & marketing - Marketing setup (first in the list)

Failing this do you have CRM (Contact Management) on your license? 5,500?

It maybe you either do not have it on your license, or you have no permission to the setup, so you would need to speak to whoever sorts them for you. Or someone has deigned the menus to hide it from you!

Ah found where you were, you were in Sales & Marketing - Marketing - Setup - Campaign - Status. This is not where Romeo told you to go! You added an extra "Marketing" step in yourself Big Smile

oh, I have already added contact numbering last week but when I try to apply it using F3 it won't automatically fill in...I was able to do it manually though.

When you get your next question, unrelated to the contact numbering, I suggest you start a new thread, no one will be looking at this posting for contact issues when it is titked transfer orders
