ERROR: Could not contact the SSO server 'myserver'. Check that SSO is configured and that the SSO service is running on that server.

(RPC: 0x800706D9: There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.).

Hi,

I am getting the above error while i configure SSO for biztalk. What is the matter i dont understand? And there is no SSO service available too although is installed on my system with windows xp pro.  Although this is nothing to do with Nav-biztalk integration, but i couldnt find better community forum.

Hi, I see this is not a recent post, but I'm very interested in the solution !

I'm trying to install Biztalk 2006 on a standalone XP machine but I don't succeed in getting SSO up & running :-(
I got the same errors, also "The Enterprise Single Sign-On Service service terminated with the following error: Unable to read from or write to the database".

No forum found yet that could help me ...

Thx in advance !

I solved the problem myself :-)

I created a new user for the configuration of Biztalk (& SSO) and discoverd finally I had to :
- assign rights to the SSODB database for this user (using SQL Server - Management Studio -> security)
- to "enable" SSO in SSO Administration (ssomanage.exe, right-click on "System")
- logon with this user to do the Biztalk configuration

Hope this might help others with similar problems ...

Hello Katrien,  I am facing the same issue.  Could you please elaborate on the solution you have suggested above.  I am a bit weak on Windows Administration.  See my comments below your suggestions.

- assign rights to the SSODB database for this user (using SQL Server - Management Studio -> security)

You mean after the SSODB is created you have to add this user to the DB under security?

- to "enable" SSO in SSO Administration (ssomanage.exe, right-click on "System")

Where do I do this,  should I go to Control Panel  -->  System, where do I find ssomanage.exe

- logon with this user to do the Biztalk configuration

        Logon into the DB?
