JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Global ERP Business Architect for Dynamics AX will be responsible for the content in our Vertical Program and act as functional lead / SME in all deliverables from the group.Key areas of focus are assessing potential partners in the Vertical Program, assessing the business needs of existing assets and deployment of the Vertical Program to the Avanade and Accenture field. Additionally, the Business Architect will have direct involvement in channel development and key sales pursuits.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead ERP solution asset creation from an application perspective
    • Define and drive the development of specific tools and assets
    • Work with the Solutions team and area/country solution teams and practices to develop and refine specific assets
    • Work closely with the Global ERP Solution Architect
    • Drive the rollout process from the planning phase through execution of the planned steps
    • Work closely with the Solution Director to finalize the commercial aspect of the assets
  • Escalation point for issues
    • Be the subject matter expert for Dynamics AX application related topics
    • Drive internal ERP community
    • Support key sales initiatives including presentations and proposal reviews
  • Develop relationship with Microsoft Dynamics AX product team
    • Understand and influence the Axapta product roadmap from an application perspective
    • Escalate application learnings, challenges and feedback from Avanade customers and global ERP community
    • Support Solutions Director with Axapta/MBS business group activities
  • Develop relationship with Accenture
    • Understand and influence the GBS horizontal practice and key OGs
    • Support Solutions Director with GBS practice activities
  • Develop relationship with solution alliance partners
    • Understand and influence the solution product roadmap
    • Escalate application learnings, challenges and feedback from Avanade customers and global ERP community
    • Support Solutions Director with alliance business activities
  • Coordinate, develop and manage the Dynamics AX Center of Excellence
    • Support the Global Solution Architect in creating a Dynamics AX solution demonstration environment. Solution/Asset test environment.
  • Deliver training on solution assets
    • Develop training for Axapta Solutions assets including alliance solutions
    • Guide area/country solution managers on training needs
·         Sales Support-        Support and assist sales teams to present and consult with prospective clients.-        Provide guidance in scoping, planning, and estimating of projects. OBJECTIVES / METRICS:·         Sales Support·         Solution Assets·         Harvesting of field-generated assets·         Maintaining skills and certifications·         Be active in Avanade technology communities; demonstrate leadership
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS (TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL):·         Deep functional and technical acumen and understanding of Axapta.·         Expert in integration architectures including development tools/products, and standards·         Demonstrated experience with multiple industries·         Business Process Analysis and Design·         Broad functional business operations knowledge and experience·         Strong knowledge of the following productso        Microsoft Dynamics AX including good understanding of MorphX and IntelliMorpho        Office/IBFo        BizTalk 
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND (EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)·         Minimum BS/BA in a technical discipline or equivalent.·         5+ years experience in customer solution delivery or equivalent role with focus on Dynamics AX·         Strong multiple industry background·         Technical/Other Skills: MS Project, on MS technologies/trends.
