Dear member,

Welcome to the new forum - Dynamics NAV / Navision Performance Optimization.

Dynamics NAV and Navision was originally designed for small to medium sized organizations. But in the recent years there has been many installations where users have tried to get either a lot more data or users online, and sometimes with not so good results. That is unless their installation is getting optimized.

Normally this can be done either technically (optimizing the hardware/servers) or application wise (code optimization). Or both. But if you have never worked with this, then it's not easy, and you should really know what you do before you start changing indexes or investing in new servers.

Best regards,

I think this is a great forum, BUT.

For many many years we have had  SQL forum, that really has  been dedicated to Navision perfromance issues on SQL, and in reallity, I thinkwe all are accepting that large systems with perfromance issues these days are most likely to be on SQL.

Maybe a better solution, is to rename the old SQL forum to Dynamics NAV SQL / Navision Performance Optimization. So that all theold posts are in the right forum

The SQL forum has been active for about 7 years now, so lets try to keep all that in one place.
