FINALLY we've got an official date. FINALLY! This news is hot from the needle (like they say in dutch)… only a few minutes old … . On the 1st of Januari 2010, NAV 2009 will be released in Belgium (and probably the other Group 2 countries). May be we can call the Belgian version NAV...
*** UPDATE *** Seems that Data Emphasis IS conditional. I updated the end of this article. Just scroll down… . A big issue since the release of NAV 2009 is the 'lack' of colors. There was no possibility whatsoever regarding " coloring your fields on pages ". Now, since NAV 2009...
Important: This article was updated in a new blogpost. I suggest you read the new version of it here . A big issue since the release of NAV 2009 is the 'lack' of colors. There was no possibility whatsoever regarding " coloring your fields on pages ". Now, since NAV 2009 Service Pack...
The new Statement Of Direction has appeared, and what a show! There is a roadmap until 2017 with features, goals and new stuff that will be added in the next 4 (four, vier, quattre, …) releases… . Well, Microsoft, pardon me to be a little bit sarcastic about this … but being able...
I notice that (at least in Belgium) it's still quite a "hot topic" on how to handle NAV 2009 Forms and pages . Should we develop pages? Or should we develop forms, transform them and start from there? Or should we maintain a 100% form transformation to pages and never touch the page designer...
Olga T. Mulvad is hosting this session. Being program manager of the Form Transformation tool (quite an important tool in the upgrade process to the Role Tailored client) might be something to do with that. I know Olga personally, but this is one of the first times, that I'm attending one of her...
I realize this is not really "brand new information", and probably you all already know about this, but still, there is a good reason why I wanted to bring this to your attention (again?). There is a new book in town, which is now actually published and ready to sell (just got the information...
My first full year (January-December)of writing on my blog has passed. When I saw this post on the "NAV Developer's blog", I just thought: "hey, that's a good idea to end this year of blogging. Let's make an overview of my blog as well". And here it is. I was quite surprised...
At the latest Convergence EMEA (Copenhagen) some MVP's were asked to be (video-) interviewed by Bruce Kasrel, a Community Leader at Microsoft. Not knowing what this was going to be, I just accepted and waited it out. I must say: weird experience . If you want to see the result though, here is my...
Shame on me … but this message is too late. You'll probably know it for a while but still … I'm gonna repeat it : Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 was finally launched at Convergence 2008 Copenhagen. You can find more info here: Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Launch Portal US Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009...
My intention with this (planned) series of blog posts, is to give you some tips and tricks regarding NAV 2009. This both on functional as development side. It's just things that I get from other people or demo's or … and I think is useful to share. Nothing more, nothing less. TIP 1: Dynamics...
Who doesn't want to follow that session? :-) I heard this session is going to be about the form transformation tool. Per Morgensen started by showing how to build a Role Center . Actually, first explaining what is the Role Center is all about. The cues that are actually "counts" of records...
If you browse through the threads of MiBuSo or DynamicsUser.net , you come across posts where people try to find a possibility to show the page number and the total page number on each generated page of a report. Something like page 2/10, where 2 is the page number of a report with 10 pages. You know...
This is an historical day for some people. Other people don't really look at it like this, but then again ... some of us are . There have been quite some discussions on NAV 2009 and the NDA issue. Not being able to talk about it. Only being able to mention the stuff that was (at least) once published...
I wanted to get your attention to a new blogger: Claus Lundstrøm . OK, I hear you thinking "just another blogger - what do I care"? Well, I would like to emphasize a few things on Claus. Claus Lundstrøm has been with Navision/Microsoft Dynamics NAV for about 10 years. Now, he's Program...
