It keeps bugging us. We thought we were finished with the update of all our customes .. But nooo. There is a bug. There has been found a minor issue with "item ledger entries for EU services that are added to the Intrastat journal lines in Microsoft Dynamics NAV with VAT 2010 Update installed". More information you can find here: KB 979746 for Dynamics NAV 4.0 SP3, KB 979747 for Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1, en KB 979748 for Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 It comes down to a change in report 594. It's...
It's over, finished, done, happened, ... and I think we can say: it was a success . I had a few attendees that were saying that this was one of the most interesting evening events we ever organized. People were really happy they spared the time to come over .. it was worth it. At least .. that's what they told me [:/]. We slightly changed the approach this time. In the first "Connection Day", we had simply four concurrent session. There, we noticed that people just tend to go to...
It has been a while since I posted an update on the Belgian Dynamics Community (BDC). You know, "the thing" that we (a few others and me) started two years ago. "The thing" .. being a community that organizes events (some info evenings about a number of topics regarding the Microsoft Dynamics products). In the beginning, it was all about Microsoft Dynamics NAV ... but now, also AX and CRM evenings are organised. So, I think we can say it has grown to a full worthy "Dynamics"...
This week, there were many confusions about the VAT 2010 issue ... apparently people forgot to update the license of the customers. This license update is needed because of the fact new objects were created ... so a new range had to be supported. Quite logical, but not a cat thought of it (as they say in Belgium). You can imagine, upgrading all licenses of your customers might take a while .. especially when you know the EOC online app, and the flow to request the updates. Luckily, Microsoft is helping...
I don't know if you've ever seen a demo of the "Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 Treemap"-addin. No? Here is a screenshot: It's actually another view on the "Customer List". People who have ever seen the Performance Point "TreeMap"? This one is quite the same. It gives you a customer list with the most important customer bigger then less important customers. In fact, you can set this up yourself with the parameters on top of the graph. This is Microsoft's explanation...
When you're planning to print reports from the new RDLC layout, things have been changed. One of the things is: how do I print this damn report in landscape?? With the new matrix-report possibilities, one might expect to have too many columns to print it in portrait. Well, keep in mind that in the RoleTailored client, the properties PaperSize and Orientation (that we know as report-properties in the Report Designer) are obsolete. This means: you can do whatever you want with it .. the printout...
Like Mark already mentioned in his blog : the first report-objects are available. This means some countries can finish the upgrade process for their customers. I'm posting this extra blog to mention to you that the table has been updated again … and now … the Belgian objects ARE available . I suggest you check this table on a daily basis to know if you can start the upgrades in your country Warning! Furthermore … watch what you're doing. If you're upgrading the reports...
This is going to be my last post of the year .. going skiing in a few days . I would like to wish all you guys and girls a Merry Christmas and a very healthy and Happy New Year !
It has been a while since I updated my table. Not many updates since last time. Probably because of the fact people have been working on the Group 2 releases, and VAT 2010 update? Or … all bugs are fixed and everything works perfectly? :-) I want to mention againthat Group 2 seems to be releasing their localized version of NAV 2009 SP1. Please take regularly a look at this page if you're expecting your release. I also changed the "look&feel" (or actually just the look) of this list...
Remember this post ? I was so glad that I could finally announce that there was at least a release date in Belgium. Now, today, December 17th 2009 (yes, still 2009!), sooner then announced, (but ok, still hundreds of days after the official world wide release of NAV 2009, but let's forget that for a while) … Belgium can start implementing their customers on this new cool product, because the Belgian localization can be downloaded from today! Not only Belgium , but the Norwegian and Swedish...
It has finally happened: the first objects (from the datapart) of the VAT 2010 are released by Microsoft. This means for all partners: GET YOUR LAZY BUTT OUT OF YOUR SEAT, STOP MINESWEEPING … AND START UPGRADING YOUR CUSTOMERS. At least, that's what it means for us. We will be upgrading +150 customers in only one month, and we will be doing this by a wizard we created ourselves… . Just a tip ;°). Anyway, for all partners, here is the way to go and start downloading the necessary...
Here is a very simple tip. These days, In NAV 2009, you got the RoleTailored Client, the Classic Client, web service and the NAS Server. So, you got more "clients", "environments", … or how you kids call it these days … then you had in 5.0. Now, you can trigger each environment you want in code. This might be helpful when you want certain things to behave differently in a specific environments. You only need two statements … and combine them: GUIALLOWED: you...
Suppose you have a boolean in your table, and you want to visualize it in your report as a checkbox. This is not really straight forward … but that doesn't mean it has to be difficult. If you simply put the value of a boolean in a table, you get something like this as result (in this case, the field "Invoice" is a boolean): This is not what you want in a report, is it? A checkbox would be lots "sexier" (for the geeks) then this … at least that is my (indeed .. a geek) opinion...
A while ago, I blogged about the upcoming changes regarding 2010 VAT changes … and where to find information ( here you can find my post). Well, I just wanted to let you know there is an update … . You can find the new version of the files on Partnersource and Customersource . Furthermore, for partners, there is a new dedicated page on partnersource, which you can find here .
