About Luc van Vugt

Just before the turn of the century I stepped into the NAV world training hundreds of developers of which most are still around.

After Microsoft acquired Navision I joined the Dynamics localization team as tester and UA specialist and was acting project lead for the first new releases. For 6 years I was closely involved with all successive releases to the (West) European market up till NAV 2009 SP1.

As of September 1st, 2009, I joined Imtech ICT Dynamics Solutions as Sr. Technical Consultant, where I was (1) leading product development as Product Manager, (2) coaching dev teams at other Dynamics partners, (3) co-leading the Imtech ICT Dynamics Competence Center (IIDSS), and (4) involved in Imtech ICT's international ERP development.

Simultaneously I became a more active community member and started blogging about Dynamics NAV on dynamicsuser.net: www.fluxxus.nl.

With Mark Brummel and Arend-Jan Kauffmann I founded the Dutch Dynamics Community (dutchdynamics.net) during fall 2010 ever since then successfully organizing local events regarding the Microsoft Dynamics products.

In 2012 I started, next to his job at Imtech ICT, his own company, called fluxxus.nl, doing various projects including conducting training on the use of NAV and Team Foundation Server.

After leaving Imtech ICT, I also joined the major Dutch schoolbooks reseller Van Dijk Educatie as Quality Assurance Lead and NAV Developer. Next to being involved in day-to-day development I introduced the use of scrum and Team Foundation Server now being their main tool for Source Code Management and Planning.

Since 2011 I has been rewarded 5 times in a row the Microsoft award “Most Valuable Professional” (MVP) for MS Dynamics NAV for this community work.

I am not a bits-and-bytes pro, I am not a C/AL wiz, but it always seems I do have a certain view on things that helps others to open eyes.
