5 days and 150 members

Looks ok, the users start getting back here. The last 6-8 months the number of daily users (as well as new members) have continued to go down down down. Basically the old site in the last period have only had approx. 1/4 of the visitors it used to have last year.

The reason has primarily been the many many down periods of the site. The errors wasn't entirely due the host, but mostly really to the fact that it was using an Access database and errors in the software, that didn't correctly free up the connection.

But I hope that's the past now.

The new site is based on Community Server, a fully .NET and Microsoft SQL Server based community solution. This is developed in cooperation with Microsoft, who are using it on many of their own developer communities (like http://www.asp.net).

So I think we have found a good and professional alternative to Snitz.

The downside is also that it's ASP.NET based. This is a completly new world for me. It's very different from the old ASP. So you'll see that I will try to prevent to do too many customizations. But not only because it's rather difficult to me, but also because I want to make it much easier to do upgrades.

I hope that you will enjoy the new site. Let me know if you're looking something in here. Then I will see what I can do....

Erik -

I know I for one was getting really annoyed with all the error 500's we kept getting on the old site - That was a key factor for me not to ge there.

I look forward to getting back in to the community using this brand-spanking new site. :)

Hi Erik

Things have come a long way from the email list about navision all those years ago, I hope this site is just as sucessful as the old one was and it beomes the place to be for all things Dynamics just as the last one was for navision.

Thanks for all the hard work you put in, doing all this

Paul
