    In my last blog post I wrote that David Singleton and I had a meeting in Praque last weekend. And that I would write more about the many additions to the user gorup we have discussed. In general we talked a lot about the level of commercials of the website. And we both agreed that the current level is pretty much ok. That is with the Google ads and the sponsors. But since the ads are also the real income of the site and more and more is using RSS then we will also be adding ads to the RSS threads...

  • Weekend with David

    I had a great last weekend. I meet up with my good friend David Singleton in Praque. I've know David since the early days of the MAILING LIST - might be 1996. Later he and I worked together with BMI in New York. David has always been very helpfull and like me he burns for this community. For a long time he's been after me. Not for not doing a good job here! But he has again and again given me suggestions to how we can make this community and even better place. New foras, new ways to spread the word...

  • 5 days and 150 members

    Looks ok, the users start getting back here. The last 6-8 months the number of daily users (as well as new members) have continued to go down down down. Basically the old site in the last period have only had approx. 1/4 of the visitors it used to have last year. The reason has primarily been the many many down periods of the site. The errors wasn't entirely due the host, but mostly really to the fact that it was using an Access database and errors in the software, that didn't correctly free up the...
